Acting, for me, has always been a joy and a privilege.
I started with a local company and then I got an agent, which means that often I get paid to act and I live in constant terror that somebody will realize I’m having fun and decide to stop paying me. When I’m found out, I hope the jury will be merciful.
In the meantime, I translated and adapted many plays by American and English authors and I produced about thirty plays for the Italian stage, mainly in Milan, where I live. I also acted – among others – in:
California Suite by Neil Simon
Noises Off by Michael Frayn
Deathtrap by Ira Levin
The Lion in Winter by James Goldman
Do not Disturb by Michael Pertwee
The Odd Couple by Neil Simon
If anyone wanted to undergo this ordeal, you can find here several clips from some of my productions, live on stage: Rumors, The Odd Couple, Noises Off and Deathtrap, all directed by Gualtiero Colombo
